The pool below is a modern reimagining of a cenote.

Cenotes are natural pools of which there are a lot here. Some are open, some are closed by rocks as a cave, sometimes with a hole.For ancient Mayans these held a spiritual significance because for them they were portals to the underworld. At the same time Mayans were masters as astrology.

This design aims to connect these two universes. The stars reflected in the pool below. Being in a pool, enclosed inside the earth with a celestial orientation.
