This 77 m² apartment in Kyiv’s «Time» residential complex was designed for a young family with a child.
The primary objective was to create a modern, cozy space where functionality meets the refined aesthetics of natural materials.
The kitchen facades are crafted from tinted oak. The kitchen island, which seamlessly transitions into a dining table, serves as the perfect solution for saving space without compromising on style.
The hallmark of this project is the walls clad in natural walnut panels. Their rich tone harmonizes beautifully with the warm oak accents in the kitchen, creating a cohesive color palette.
The smooth rounding of the walls at the entrance not only adds aesthetic appeal but also physically expands the hallway, softening the interior by eliminating sharp corners. This architectural motif is echoed in the master bathroom area. Additionally, the wooden shutters in the dressing room deserve special mention for adding a unique textural layer to the space.
In the living room, a wall-mounted stainless steel console is set against the backdrop of walnut panels. This pairing of cool metal and warm wood texture adds a touch of modern chic to the interior.
In the home office, behind a glass partition, the eye is drawn to a woven armchair made of solid walnut from the Ukrainian brand Buro150, embodying the mastery of local craft design.
The workspace atmosphere is set by a custom-made desk in turquoise veneer with accent stainless steel hardware from Golda Hardware, which we complemented with the iconic HAY chair in tan natural leather.
The private area features a calm palette that creates an intimate atmosphere, perfect for relaxation. Soft panels behind the bed match the walls and spacious wardrobes.
An elegant leather armchair by the Ukrainian brand NOOM adds a touch of comfort to the space.
The child’s bed is masterfully integrated into the overall wardrobe structure, allowing for maximum space efficiency. The standout accent is the deep blue hue used on the wardrobe facades and custom round handles.
The shutters we’ve seen in other areas of the apartment find their continuation here in the bathroom. Painted precisely to match the tiles, they conceal the laundry zone, making the bulky cabinet almost invisible. Meanwhile, an irregular-shaped mirror acts as that perfect 'imperfect' detail that brings the space to life.
