UNIBIS office
Project year: 2026
Function: office
Area: 369 м2
Location: Medan, Indonesia
The UNIBIS office project proposes an alternative view of the contemporary workplace. The core idea was to rethink the office not as a collection of standard workstations, but as a cohesive environment that supports focus, interaction and everyday comfort.
The interior is organized as a unified space with a clear and intuitive structure. Linear circulation connects all functional zones, allowing the office to be easily understood and experienced as a continuous spatial sequence. Open work areas, meeting rooms and shared spaces interact organically without rigid separation.
Transparent and semi-transparent solutions are used to maintain visual connection between different areas while ensuring the necessary level of privacy and acoustic comfort. The space remains open and light, yet functional and balanced.
The material palette is restrained and natural. Wood, concrete and soft mineral surfaces create a calm, neutral background that emphasizes light, proportion and spatial quality rather than decorative expression. Furniture and built-in elements are integrated into the architecture, reinforcing a sense of continuity throughout the interior.
Lighting plays an important role in shaping the atmosphere. A combination of linear artificial lighting and natural daylight from large glazed openings and skylights creates comfortable conditions for different modes of work throughout the day.
Shared zones, coffee points and the terrace are located along the main circulation path, forming places for short pauses, informal interaction and a change of working rhythm without breaking away from the work process.
As a result, the project defines a contemporary office space without excessive formality. It focuses on calmness, flexibility and long-term relevance, offering a balanced environment that quietly supports everyday work.
