ABOUT
Our task was to create a small, cozy Pilates studio in the heart of the city.
The space we got was compact and nearly square in shape, yet it needed to accommodate all the functions required for a fully operational studio. To achieve this, we moved away from traditional wall-based zoning and instead designed a central multifunctional furniture unit.
This built-in structure includes a wardrobe area, staff space, technical storage, visitor lockers, a vanity table, and two changing rooms. When designing its layout, we carefully considered the flow and different movement scenarios of visitors to ensure a comfortable and intuitive experience.
By integrating all supporting functions into one compact unit, we were able to free up as much space as possible for the workout area, reception, and lounge.
Additional spatial division is provided by a sheer curtain on a curved track, which visually separates areas while adding softness and a sense of comfort.
The project reflects the principles of Japandi style: simplicity, natural materials, a calm color palette, and tactile textures. The interior is completed with minimalist furniture and custom-designed elements created specifically for the studio.
