御宝·淮扬料理 |爱雍·乌节,新加坡
Imperial Treasure - Huaiyang Cuisine|ION Orchard, Singapore
作为 MIST 首个海外项目,我们应邀为新加坡米其林二星品牌 「御宝」 的全新淮扬料理店,打造具有专属视觉标识的空间。
As MIST's first overseas project, we were invited to create a space with an exclusive visual identity for Imperial Treasure, the Singaporean Michelin two-star brand, for its new Huaiyang cuisine restaurant.
「御宝」餐厅的版图已遍布全球,从新加坡本土延伸至巴黎、伦敦、东京、香港及中国内地,旗下超 2 家分店荣膺米其林二星,更是各类餐饮奖项的常客,在业界声名远扬。然而,我们接手时敏锐发现,尽管品牌在餐饮领域光芒万丈,但其空间设计却缺乏一脉相承的识别性。品牌绝非仅靠 LOGO 定义,而是产品、服务、环境与氛围交织而成的综合体验 ,这正是我们重塑空间的核心出发点。
Imperial Treasure's restaurants have expanded worldwide, from its home base in Singapore to Paris, London, Tokyo, Hong Kong and mainland China. With over two branches holding Michelin two-star status and frequent wins in various culinary awards, it has earned a stellar reputation in the industry. Yet when we took on the project, we quickly noticed that despite the brand's brilliance in the culinary realm, but its spatial design lacked consistent recognition. A brand is never defined by its logo alone; it is a holistic experience that blends products, services, environment and ambiance — this was the core starting point for our space redesign.
在沟通过程中,「御宝」的创始人多次强调希望空间呈现「贵气」,同时我们也捕捉到他对东方传统文化的深厚热爱。由此,「都市感」与「东方感」成为空间设计的双基调:「都市感」契合餐厅所在国际化大都市的属性,呼应顾客对品质与尊贵的追求;「东方感」则是品牌基因中流淌的气质,更是「御宝」能在全球开枝散叶的视觉识别核心。
During our discussions, the founder of Imperial Treasure emphasized repeatedly his desire for the space to exude "luxury", and we also picked up on his deep affection for traditional Oriental culture. Thus, "Urban Sophistication" and "Oriental Charm" became the dual pillars of the spatial design: "Urban Sophistication" aligns with the international metropolis where the restaurant is situated, catering to diners' pursuit of quality and elegance; "Oriental Charm", an inherent part of the brand's DNA, serves as the core visual identity that has enabled Imperial Treasure to expand globally.
项目面临的首个挑战,是狭小的门面与长达 20 余米的原始走廊。我们打破其单纯通行的功能属性,将其转化为「景观前院」,让行走过程成为独特的静心体验。在动线重构中,我们把采光与视野最佳的区域优先分配给包间与就餐区,仅保留中央主动线;针对新加坡热带气候下户外就餐需求较低的特点,将阳台改造为花园,形成「前庭后院」的格局,让空间更富层次与意境。
The project's first challenge was the narrow storefront and the original corridor stretching over 20 meters. We moved beyond its mere function as a passageway, transforming it into a "Landscape Forecourt" to make the act of walking through it a uniquely calming experience. In rearranging the circulation, we prioritized allocating areas with the best lighting and views to private rooms and dining areas, keeping only the central main pathway. Given the low demand for outdoor dining in Singapore's tropical climate, we converted the balcony into a garden, creating a "Front Courtyard and Back Garden" layout that adds more layers and artistic depth to the space.
「东方感」的诠释,从来不是传统元素的简单堆砌。我们以现代手法重新解构东方气质,使其精准适配都市人的生活方式 —— 这是生长在都市肌理中的东方韵味。
The interpretation of "Oriental Charm" has never been about simply piling up traditional elements. We reimagined Oriental aesthetics through modern techniques, tailoring them to urban lifestyles — this is Oriental charm rooted in the urban landscape.
项目落地过程中充满了意外。新加坡虽是发达国家,但原材料的匮乏与工艺的局限却远超预期:同款设计的实现成本比国内高出 5 倍,依赖手工的工艺更是举步维艰。对此,我们转而采用工厂预制的材料与工艺;在花园打造上,由于本地植物品种有限且气候炎热,我们开创性地尝试了 「永生花园」,其视觉质感几可乱真,效果远超预期。
The project's execution was full of unexpected hurdles. Though Singapore is a developed country, the shortage of raw materials and limitations in craftsmanship far exceeded our expectations: the cost of executing the same design was five times higher than in China, and artisanal techniques relying on manual work proved even more challenging. In response, we turned to factory-prefabricated materials and processes; for the garden, due to the limited local plant species and hot climate, we pioneered an "everlasting garden" whose visual quality is virtually indistinguishable from real greenery, with results that surpassed all expectations.
这场跨越国界的设计实践,既是一次充满挑战的探索,更为 MIST 的设计出海之路沉淀了弥足珍贵的经验。
This cross-border design endeavor was not only a challenging exploration but also accumulated invaluable experience for MIST's global design ventures.
