A bold take on meat culture — redefined through contemporary design.
Departing from the traditional steakhouse vibes, THE БЫК embraces a modern concept that responds directly to the spatial complexities of the location: a venue with no natural light, a sloped floor, and low ceilings.
The entire project is built around the central theme of meat, not just as a product, but as a process. The design reflects the behind-the-scenes beauty of meat preparation: textures, heat, fire, and transformation.
The interior features deep blacks and greys, contrasted with accents of red lighting, creating a dramatic interplay of light and shadow — evoking the flicker of fire. Materials used throughout the space have been heat-treated, subtly mirroring the way meat itself is cooked and transformed.
To address the large square footage and uneven flooring, the restaurant was divided into four distinct halls — each with its own concept, name, and thematic design elements.
This division not only solved functional issues but added richness to the spatial narrative.
The goal was clear: create a striking, comfortable environment for guests using unique, non-repetitive design elements and solutions.
The result? A space where the experience is immersive, the visuals are bold, and every detail, from lighting to materials, tells a story about passion, fire, and craft.
