Structure, material, light and shadow, and detail intertwine, achieving a silent stylistic harmony through restraint.

This 250-square-meter penthouse duplex in Qingyuan Resort, Guangdong, presents a light French ambiance that blends artistic refinement with natural relaxation through restrained and rational expression. Following modern minimalist logic, the design allows the structure itself to take center stage while establishing a gentle, orderly spatial rhythm through the use of delicate yet restrained materials.

Natural textures, flowing light, and balanced negative space harmoniously interplay, allowing classic elegance to blossom effortlessly within a relaxed atmosphere.

Homeowner Coco, who works in the fashion industry, uses this duplex space away from the city as a living, working, and photography venue. The design revolves around her lifestyle, breaking down the original closed layout and reorganizing the flow to enable seamless transitions between different scenarios. Stylistically, an elegant yet understated French-inspired aesthetic responds to her desire for timeless classics and natural healing.

The kitchen entrance on the first floor was reconfigured to open inward instead of facing the foyer, creating a tighter connection with the living and dining areas. The communal spaces now converge around the living room, forming a unified visual focal point.

The full-wall built-in cabinet along one side of the entryway provides ample storage. Its white panels flush with the wall seamlessly integrate into the overall framework. The inward-extending cabinetry connects with the base cabinets of the western-style kitchen, creating a natural transition.

The kitchen area is rendered in minimalist language. The island countertop features Cartier marble, returning to a pure rectangular form that accentuates the stones inherent fluidity and the beauty of its veining. Walls, shelving, and the island countertop share a unified material, establishing a rhythm between geometric planes and lines to create a sense of order that builds in layers.

The open layout allows natural light to flow freely, enhancing the sense of spaciousness. The kitchen retains its enclosed structure while incorporating an open rectangular entrance, reinforcing functional independence while preventing grease fumes from escaping. The repetition of stacked straight lines creates a pure yet powerful visual tension.

Handle-free white cabinets minimize their presence, concealing everyday clutter entirely. Earth-toned travertine slabs harmoniously complement the wooden flooring, infusing the pristine space with natural texture. Even the outlet covers are clad in matching material, ensuring meticulous detail consistency throughout.

The living room introduces gentle curves into its rational structure. The once-enclosed stairwell is opened up, with a spiral staircase becoming the spatial focal point—disrupting the rigid sequence while extending the vertical dimension. The enclosed balcony expands the living room area, working in tandem with load-bearing columns to reinforce the buildings structural expression.

The spiral staircase serves as a symbolic element, guiding the emotional shifts within the space. Each curve has been meticulously refined to present a fluid form from every perspective.

Materials and furnishings echo the structures rationality. The white fabric sofa blends into the backdrop, exuding French-inspired poetry through its relaxed form. Isamu Noguchis iconic coffee table balances straight-lined frames with organic curves, while aged wooden furniture and sisal rugs lend rustic warmth. Symmetrical alcoves display the homeowners collection, where cultural traces infuse the minimalist space with a spiritual dimension.

The black fireplace sits along the central axis, disrupting the tranquil symmetry. The stark black-and-white contrast heightens the materials tension, while the recessed base seamlessly integrates it with the floor. Vintage steel windows draw in natural light and shadows, infusing the space with vitality.

The master bedroom at the rear of the first floor was reconfigured from two rooms into a bedroom, walk-in study, and bathroom. The study features a rectangular window opening that interacts with the living room while framing views of the staircase structure.

The second floor features a more open layout. The walk-in closet adjoins the office area, addressing the homeowners practical needs for photography and work. The pitched roof structure serves as a visual divider, while custom-made old wooden beams enhance the vacation-like ambiance, with the wood grain becoming an integral part of the spatial framework.

The office area establishes a light, orderly structure through a metal shelving system, while natural travertine desks balance their volume with symmetrical openwork designs. A vintage red Persian rug adds exotic warmth to the cool, neutral palette. After removing the stairwell, floor-to-ceiling windows were installed on the opposite side, bringing the outdoors in and making nature a part of daily life.

结构、材质、光影与细节彼此交织，在克制中达成一种无声的风格共识。

这套位于广东清远度假区的250㎡顶层复式空间，以收敛而理性的表达，呈现出兼具艺术气质与自然松弛感的轻法式氛围。设计遵循现代极简逻辑，让结构本身成为主角，同时通过细腻而克制的材质铺陈，构建温柔有序的空间节奏。

天然肌理、流动采光与留白比例彼此平衡，使经典气质在松弛之中自然生长。

屋主Coco从事服装行业，将这处远离市区的复式空间作为生活、办公与拍摄场所。设计围绕她的使用习惯展开，打破原有封闭格局，重组动线，使不同场景可以自由切换。在风格选择上，以优雅而不过度装饰的轻法式回应她对永续经典与自然疗愈的期待。

一层重构厨房入口，将其由朝向玄关改为向内开启，与客餐厅形成更紧密的联系，公区空间围绕客厅聚拢，形成统一的视觉中心。

玄关一侧整面嵌入式柜体提供充足收纳，白色体块与墙面齐平，融入整体框架。向内延展的柜体与西厨地柜衔接，实现自然过渡。

餐厨区域以极简语言呈现。岛台选用卡地亚大理石，回归纯粹矩形形态，反而凸显石材本身的灵动与纹理之美。墙面、置物板与岛台统一材质，在几何块面与线条之间建立节奏，形成层层递进的秩序感。

开放格局让采光自由穿行，空间更显通透。厨房保留围合结构，并设置开放矩形入口，在强化功能独立性的同时避免油烟外溢。重复叠加的直线构成纯粹而有力量的视觉张力。

无把手白色橱柜弱化存在感，将日常琐碎完全隐藏。大地色洞石岩板与木地板形成温和呼应，为纯净空间增添自然质感。连插座面板也以同材质覆盖，细节高度统一。

客厅在理性结构中引入柔和曲线。原本封闭的楼梯间被打开，一座旋转楼梯成为空间核心，打破方正序列，也延展了垂直尺度。封窗后的阳台扩充客厅面积，与承重柱共同强化建筑结构表达。

旋转楼梯如同精神符号，牵引空间情绪变化。每一道弧线都经过反复推敲，在不同视角中呈现流畅姿态。

材质与陈设回应结构的理性。白色布艺沙发融入底色，松弛中带有法式诗意。野口勇的经典茶几以有机曲线平衡直线框架，老木家具与剑麻地毯带来质朴温度。对称壁龛陈列屋主收藏，文化痕迹为极简空间注入精神维度。

黑色壁炉位于中轴，打破平静对称。黑白对比强化材质张力，嵌入式地台让其与地面融为整体。老钢窗引入自然光影，使空间更具生命力。

一层后侧主卧由两房重组为卧室、步入式书房与卫浴。书房开设矩形窗洞，与客厅互动，并借景楼梯结构。

二层功能更趋开放。衣帽间与办公区并置，回应屋主拍摄与工作的真实需求。尖顶结构成为视觉分界，定制老木横梁强化度假氛围，木材肌理成为空间骨架的一部分。

办公区以金属置物系统构建轻盈秩序，天然洞石书桌在对称镂空设计中平衡体量。红色中古波斯地毯为冷静基调增添异域温度。拆除楼梯间后，对侧改为落地窗，引景入室，让自然成为日常的一部分。

衣帽间收纳系统完整有序，穿衣镜亦是隐藏玻璃门，通往独立阳台。尖顶木梁与拱形落地窗形成严谨对称，雕塑与艺术摆件自然融入结构逻辑，而非简单装饰。

主卧延续白与木的基调，天然石材延伸至床头区域。野口勇设计的 Akari 吊灯以和纸塑造柔和雕塑感，在留白中展现力量。

二层次卧强化与自然的连接。超大落地窗模糊室内外界限，白色帘幕与老木肌理交织出柔和疗愈的情绪张力。露台绿植环绕，湖景尽收眼底。

卫浴空间以极简对称呈现纯粹秩序。大理石洗漱台呼应厨房材质，中心壁灯带有自然主义意味。白色柜体营造清透氛围，罗马拼莱姆石地砖则增添复古质感。

克制与丰盈、理性与自然在此交汇。空间不刻意表达，却在结构与时间的沉淀中，呈现出一种持续而温和的精神力量。

The walk-in closet features a comprehensive and organized storage system, with a full-length mirror concealed behind glass doors leading to a private balcony. Sharp-peaked wooden beams and arched floor-to-ceiling windows create a precise symmetry, while sculptures and art objects seamlessly integrate into the structural logic rather than serving as mere adornments.

The master bedroom maintains a palette of white and wood, with natural stone extending to the headboard area. The Akari pendant lamp designed by Isamu Noguchi, crafted from washi paper, creates a soft sculptural presence, revealing strength within the negative space.

The second-level bedroom deepens the connection with nature. Oversized floor-to-ceiling windows blur the boundary between indoors and out, while white curtains intertwine with the texture of aged wood to weave a soft, healing emotional tension. The terrace is surrounded by greenery, offering sweeping views of the lake.

The bathroom space presents pure order through minimalist symmetry. The marble vanity echoes the kitchens materials, while the central wall lamp carries a naturalistic touch. White cabinetry creates a clean, airy atmosphere, and Roman-patterned limestone tiles add a vintage texture.

Restraint and abundance, reason and nature converge here. The space makes no deliberate statement, yet through the sedimentation of structure and time, it reveals a sustained and gentle spiritual force.

Nothing Design champions minimalism, eschewing superfluous elements in its approach. Unlike certain ornate designs, Nothing Design prioritises substance, emphasises spatial functionality, and favours a less-is-more philosophy in spatial composition.
