Traditions of industrial Łódź as inspirations for modern restaurant interiors

on the basis of “Przędza” café interior design

The goal of my thesis was to design a restaurant interior inspired by the industrial legacy of the city of Łódź.Café "Przędza” became the place I have chosen. The design of the café aims to develop new solutions for the field of industrial interior design, adapted to the specific needs and characteristics of the gastronomic market in Łódź.To start the project, it was necessary to analyze the architecture of industrial Łódź and todays gastronomic market. Before beginning working on the project, I conducted a survey among the residents of Łódź to gain a deeper understanding of their needs.The final project presents an interior designed in the industrial style derived from manufacturing legacy of the city of Łódź, combined with elements inspired by the "Yarn" - the name of the café. The interior meets the needs of Łódź's residents, researched by conducting an open survey, and at the same time refers to the tradition of the city from nineteenth-century.The visualizations and technical documentation presented at the end of the work show a new vision of "Przędza" (eng. “Yarn”) as an interior with the character of the city of Łódź.
