CONCEPT
Iro Shoten is a contemporary Japanese interior built on restraint. Dark tones, clean lines, and natural materials establish an atmosphere of quiet focus — no decorative excess, no ambiguity of purpose. Red maple trees, placed within the dining room, introduce vivid natural accents that cut through the muted palette with precision.
ENTRANCE AREA
A concealed wardrobe behind a mirrored door maintains the visual clarity of the entry. The mirrored surface doubles the perceived depth of the space. A compact waiting area beside the reception desk accommodates guests without disrupting the spatial rhythm.
CENTRAL LANDING
The main seating area is anchored by small tables with ceramic-tile tops set in wooden frames — the same material vocabulary as the bar counter, creating a consistent tactile thread throughout the interior. Vibia Flamingo pendants cast soft, diffused light above. One side offers a long communal bench with leather cushions; the opposite side, simple stools. The contrast creates a relaxed asymmetry.
OPEN KITCHEN AND BAR
COMMON TABLES
Two large communal tables occupy the central zone, their natural wood tops reinforcing the warm, organic character of the space. Integrated planters with red maple trees rise from the table structures — a living element that anchors the interior and brings nature into direct proximity with the dining experience.
SPATIAL ORGANIZATION
Along the perimeter, intimate two-person booths offer a sense of enclosure and privacy. The central area remains open and dynamic, furnished with minimalist stools and chairs. This duality — intimacy at the edges, energy at the core — sustains both comfort and atmosphere at full capacity.
