This apartment in Bogotá, Colombia was completely transformed through a full renovation that redefined both its spatial experience and material language. The original layout was reimagined to create a fluid, open interior where light, texture, and structure work together to shape a contemporary yet warm living environment.

Natural materials play a central role in the design. Wood slat ceilings, exposed concrete elements, and neutral stone finishes create a balanced dialogue between warmth and solidity, while large glass surfaces dissolve boundaries between interior and exterior, allowing daylight to penetrate deep into the apartment. A central indoor patio becomes a focal point, bringing greenery, air, and natural light into the heart of the space and reinforcing a strong connection to nature within an urban context.

The double-height living area enhances the sense of openness and verticality, complemented by a sculptural spiral staircase in perforated metal that acts as both a functional and visual anchor. Carefully integrated lighting highlights textures and architectural details, creating a calm and intimate atmosphere throughout the day and night.

All furniture was custom designed and built specifically for this project, ensuring a cohesive aesthetic and optimal use of space. Each piece responds to the apartment’s geometry and material palette, reinforcing the bespoke character of the renovation while providing comfort and functionality.

The result is a contemporary apartment that merges architecture, interior design, and custom craftsmanship into a unified space—tailored to modern living in Bogotá, with a strong emphasis on material honesty, natural light, and thoughtful design.
