In The Palm's tight embrace.

Located in the prestigious neighborhood of Palm Jumeirah in Dubai, Villa La Jungla offers stunning views of the Royal Atlantis. The property spans 700 square meters and features an old Arabic-style villa. Strict regulations limit any alterations down to the size of a window.

Our goal is to make it truly one-of-a-kind and practical for quick execution. It should be distinct from its surroundings while seamlessly blending into natural beauty. From this challenging yet creative process, the Villa La Jungla project came to life.

IDEA

Spanish jungles

Around the perimeter of the main floors, an oxidized copper panel frame provides privacy, with strategically placed windows on the left and right that allow light in while keeping out prying eyes. The front-facing windows, however, are left open for a more open feel.

Despite limited space, we created a charming dining area on one side and a relaxing pool area in the back of the villa.​​​​​​​

The villa has a vibrant, breathing atmosphere, thanks to the abundance of greenery that gives it a European, rather than tropical, feel — reminiscent of the south of Spain. The landscape provides a range of greens and an element of unpredictability.

The main master block spans the entire second floor, with two additional blocks on the third floor, each featuring spacious bathrooms and walk-in closets. Other amenities include a children's room that can be repurposed as a regular bedroom, an office, or a wine room.

INTERIOR

Elegance and delicacyEvery piece of furniture and decor in Villa la Jungla has been carefully selected.

Reflecting the essence of the enchanting 1960s era, we strived to design solutions that would stand the test of time.

By highlighting the rectangular columns of the building structure with a unique shape and symmetry, we brought a sense of unity to the design.

The mirror near the entrance features gentle, rounded edges, while the staircase boasts a more strict architectural design.

These contrasting elements create a harmonious balance of structure and comfort within the interior.

The impressive door, complete with a modern pivot system and sleek exterior finish, instantly sets the tone for the room.

As we walk through the hallway, we are welcomed by timeless pieces of furniture, like the iconic wave-shaped seats from B&B Italia.

The kitchen showcases custom craftsmanship with carefully selected stone, transforming the island into a dominant feature resembling a sculpture. ​​​​​​​

On the other hand, the Henge lamps cut through the room like our external panels, bringing unity and a delicate play of light against the stone. They create a subtle interplay with the surrounding stone's transparency when illuminated.

Natural, simple, timeless materials like concrete, leather, veneer, and stone give the space a timeless and elegant feel.​​​​​​​

Hints of the green hues from the exterior facades gently transition into the interior, adding a natural and pleasing touch to the stone elements and decor. ​​​​​​​

Each piece serves a unique purpose and adds to the overall ambiance of the space.

As we were completing the project, it became clear that the inspiration for this villa came from the iconic pavilion of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe in Barcelona — the pinnacle of modernism designed by the great architect who changed the course of events and revolutionized urban architecture in the XX century.
