ABOUT PROJECT
The 67.4 m2 apartment is located in Krakow, Poland. The clients' wish was to make minimal changes to the original layout. The apartment will be occupied by a family of two and a cat. The desired layout includes a kitchen-living room, bathroom, master bedroom, and office. The office will be transformed into a children's room in the future.
A small change has been made to the layout to create a niche for a built-in refrigerator and cabinet in the kitchen area.
KITCHEN AND LIVING ROOM
The kitchen and living room, covering an area of 28 m2, are divided into two parts: the cooking area and the relaxation area. They are separated by a dining group, which serves as the focal point and center of attraction. The linear part of the kitchen is minimalist and serves as a background for the graphic table and sleek lighting fixture. The addition of wooden flooring, blinds, and fabrics adds a touch of softness to the minimalist interior. All lighting fixtures in the space are designed to emit warm light.
ENTRANCE HALL
The idea of creating a color accent in the entrance hall was well-received by the clients, and they settled on a sophisticated shade of blue. Since the entrance hal is mainly used for transit, a bright color won't become monotonous. A large mirror with side lighting, terrazzo flooring, and the deep blue color scheme are the main features of the hallway's design. All functional objects, such as wardrobe and doors, are discreetly tucked away and blend with the wall color.
MASTER BEDROOM
The master bedroom stands out with its softness and textured materials. Despite its modest size of 14.5 m2, it accommodates a comfortable bed, a large wardrobe, and a workspace. The bed upholstery features textured boucle fabric, and the wall behind the headboard is made of stainless steel, creating a contrast between cold metal and cozy boucle, complemented by light glass plates on the chandelier. A mirrored finish on the wardrobe's outer facade helps expand the room visually. The addition of a primitive-style work chair brings variety and whimsy to the interior.
OFFICE
The home office maintains the overall concept of the apartment's design. It is equipped with everything needed for comfortable work-from-home experience, including a desk with a lift mechanism, a comfortable chair, a mobile floor lamp, and a cozy armchair with a coffee table beside it for relaxation. The neutral color palette and well-placed built-in wardrobe allow for easy transformation of the office into a girl's or boy's room.
BATHROOM
The bathroom design aims to create a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. Thoughtful planning allowed for the inclusion of a utility cabinet, a washing machine and a dryer.
