PH Sierra Vertientes is the profound transformation of a penthouse located in Lomas de Chapultepec, a home reborn from its very structure to become a luminous, spacious, and deeply personal space. The project originated from a private commission to completely remodel a two level apartment, reorganizing its essence to respond to a more open, comfortable way of living, connected to art and the landscape.

The intervention begins with the bold structural decision to remove all interior walls in order to completely reorganize the house and create a double height entrance. This new scale introduces a vertical sensation that defines the experience from the very first moment.

The project had one central requirement: the living and dining rooms had to function as a gallery where an art collection could be displayed freely. The architecture responds to this brief with light wood surfaces, clean lines, and precise openings that support the presence of the pieces. The space becomes a journey where light and art converse and complement each other.

Through interior design, it was possible to place the social area on the upper level, where the natural light is more abundant and the connection to the terrace is seamless. From the mezzanine, the house opens to the exterior and connects the spaces dedicated to study, socializing, and outdoor living.

The way users transition to the upper terrace is one of the project’s most striking features. A spacious pergola frames a barbecue area, sink, and built-in furniture, creating an inviting space. Exposed concrete, terracotta planters, and vegetation contribute to a serene atmosphere where shade, fresh air, and expansive views become integral to daily life. It’s a place designed to be lived in, not just admired.

The ground floor retains a more introspective character, where wood, modularity, and paintings create a contained and harmonious interior landscape. The circulation is clean and continuous, allowing each space to maintain its identity without losing its connection to the whole.

The project incorporates transitions that soften the passage between interior and exterior. The stone patio acts as a threshold, balancing materiality with a sense of shelter. This intention is repeated throughout the house, allowing light, vegetation, and shadows to enhance the character of the space.

At PH Sierra Vertientes, the architecture establishes a clear order of uses, with the ground floor housing public and contemplative spaces, while the upper level concentrates daily life and social activities. The result is a home where each space has a defined and serene purpose.

The complex becomes a lasting framework for living. Light, proportion, materials, and the relationship with art combine to create an experience that endures over time. PH Sierra Vertientes is a home where architecture allows life to unfold calmly and each space to find its own rhythm.
