Mahyar is a Persian restaurant located in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. Designed as a two level, blending traditional elements like arches, rich patterns, and carpet details with bold colors to create a warm, regal dining experience.

CONCEPT

The concept of this project is rooted in the rich heritage of Persian aesthetics, reimagined through a contemporary lens to craft a dining experience that is both immersive and unforgettable. Drawing inspiration from the elegance of Persian architecture, the design features graceful arches, bold ornamental walls, and strategically placed Persian carpets not as flooring elements but creatively repurposed into the reception counter design and as floating ceiling décor.

INTERIOR

One of the most distinctive design gestures is the bold use of deep red tones with the wall patterns, which adds a regal and luxurious ambiance, echoing the richness of Persian culture. This bold color choice creates a warm, immersive atmosphere that evokes royalty, passion, and timeless elegance.

One of the restaurant’s most striking features is a large scale art piece for elephant, positioned strategically at the entry view and adjacent to the wooden staircase leading to the mezzanine. This commanding visual acts as a symbolic guardian of the space and greeting guests, a metaphor of strength, memory, and nobility, reinforcing Mahyar’s identity as a place where art, tradition, and emotion converge.

In essence, Mihyar offers more than a meal. It curates a journey. A space where design and culture meet, inviting every guest to experience the poetry of Persian ambiance with every time.
