悬瀑亭丨中国舟山丨浙江大学建筑设计研究院

在浙江大学舟山校区办学将满十周年、海洋学科迎来第十五个春秋之际，作为舟山校区的设计团队，我们受邀为校园设计一件纪念物。最初的任务明确而典型：一座雕塑。但我们思考，在这样一片与海为邻、清远宁静的校园里，纪念是否有更生动的形式？相比树立一个孤立的视觉焦点，不如创造一个能容纳体验、激发互动的场所。这一想法得到了学院的信任与支持。于是命题从“一座雕塑”被解放为“一处场所”——“亭”的概念自然浮现。它意味着庇护、停留与聚集，既能容纳象征性的精神核心，也能围绕它展开日常的休憩、交流与沉思。

As the Zhoushan Campus of Zhejiang University marks its tenth year of operation and the marine disciplines celebrate their fifteenth anniversary, our design team—having originally designed the campus—was invited to create a commemorative landmark. The initial brief was clear and conventional: a sculpture. However, we pondered: in a campus so intimately cradled by the sea, serene and far-reaching, could “commemoration” take a more vivid form? Rather than erecting an isolated visual focal point, we sought to create a “place” that accommodates experience and sparks interaction. With the college’s trust, the mission evolved from a “sculpture” into a “place,” and the concept of a Pavilion naturally emerged. It signifies shelter, lingering, and gathering—a structure capable of housing a symbolic spiritual core while facilitating daily rest, dialogue, and contemplation.

选址的变迁：从观景台到日常交汇点

The Evolution of Site: From Lookout to Daily Intersection

亭的落位经历了三次改变：

The pavilion’s location underwent three significant shifts:

最初选址于校园山顶，毗邻校区标志性建筑启真塔，取“登高望远”之意，名为“飞鸟亭”——以舒展形态回应场所，感受海风、仰望蓝天。之后，为规避对启真塔影响的风险，场地移至山脚一片四面环林的绿地中央。方案调整为以圆形水盘为核心视觉元素，配以一道如同刻入绿地的清水墙，“水亭”概念在此初步成形。

The Mountain Peak: Initially sited near the campus landmark, Qizhen Pagoda, it was conceived as the “Bird Pavilion”—an expansive form responding to sea breezes and open skies.

The Forest Glade: To avoid impacting the pagoda’s silhouette, the site moved to a woodland clearing at the foot of the hill. Here, a circular water basin and a fair-faced concrete wall became the core elements, birthing the “Water Pavilion” concept.

方案完成深化设计后，学院第二次提出更换选址，二易其址的消息一度让我们感到沮丧，但经过对新场地的现场踏勘和分析，我们发现最终的场址呈现出意料之外的妙处：这里一侧面向校园人文轴线，是处于图书馆与教学区之间的重要节点；另一侧则背靠自然山体坡地，林木葱郁，氛围幽静。场地呈现出的“双面性”使其成为连接人文与自然、路径与目的地的交汇点。它既坐落在师生的日常动线上，又提供了转向自然、短暂抽离的契机——亭子在此自然成为连接两种校园体验的枢纽。

The Final Junction: The third and final site revealed unexpected brilliance. Flanked by the campus’s cultural axis (between the library and teaching areas) on one side and a lush natural slope on the other, the site possessed a “dual character.” It sits on the daily pulse of faculty and student movement yet offers a moment of withdrawal into nature. The pavilion thus became a hinge connecting two distinct campus experiences.

与场地的对话：一侧展示，一侧栖息

A Dialogue with the Site: One Side for Display, One Side for Dwelling

基于场地的双重属性，我们进一步强化了亭子的“双面”表达：

Based on this duality, we intensified the pavilion’s “two-sided” expression:

一道清水砖墙将圆形水盘托起，形成清晰的空间界定。朝向校园人文轴线的一侧，墙体成为展示十五年院史的长卷，墙端圆形水盘中央，水流持续滑落，形成一道轻柔水幕。这一侧是外向的、精神的，是面向集体的文化呈现。朝向自然山体的一侧，我们采用了截然不同的策略：通过一条穿过树林的缓径移步接近，被刻意压低的水盘使亭子从隐到显缓缓呈现；水盘倒映天光云影；亭内地面与座位嵌入微微隆起的坡地，与绿景相融，模糊了构筑物与自然的界限。这一侧是内向的、静谧的，是关于停驻与静思的邀请。这种“一分为二”的处理，并非割裂空间，而是基于场地文脉的精准回应，使亭子同时承载纪念性与日常性的两种表情。

The Cultural Face: A fair-faced brick wall supports the circular water basin, defining the space. Facing the campus axis, the wall serves as a long scroll chronicling fifteen years of college history. At its edge, water cascades from the basin, creating a gentle curtain. This side is outward-looking and monumental—a cultural presentation for the collective.

The Natural Face: Facing the wooded slope, we adopted a strategy of “concealment.” Approached via a winding path through the trees, the pavilion gradually reveals itself as the water basin is deliberately lowered. The water reflects the shifting sky and clouds, while the interior floor and seating are embedded into the rising topography. This side is inward-looking and quiet—an invitation to pause and meditate.

知觉的编织：水声作为宁静的注脚

Weaving Perception: Water as an Anchor of Silence

水，成为串联空间与感知的线索。它既呼应海洋学院的意境，也在静谧的校园中，带来一种细微而恒久的呼吸感。在墙体与水盘衔接的中心位置，我们设置了一处精巧的出水帘，使水幕成为连接两侧空间、引导感知体验的线索，亭子也因此得名“悬瀑亭”。滑落的水流持续冲刷水盘，其声淅沥，成为这片静谧校园中轻柔的“听觉锚点”。它并非为了打破宁静，而是以富有生命力的律动反衬静意，化解绝对安静可能带来的孤寂感。

Water serves as the thread connecting space and perception, echoing the identity of the Ocean College. At the junction of the wall and the basin, we designed a delicate weir that allows a water curtain to fall, giving the structure its name: The Hanging Fall Pavilion. The continuous flow creates a rhythmic sound—a “soft auditory anchor” in the quiet campus. It does not break the silence but emphasizes it through a vital pulse, dissolving the potential loneliness of absolute stillness.

当师生走入这个场所：既可以坐在嵌入山坡的一侧，聆听水声、感受清风，享受被自然包裹的宁静；也可以走到景墙一侧，在流动的水幕前阅读学院的十五年历程。水的意象，由此从自然元素转化为文化精神；而亭子本身，也从抽象概念演变为融入场地、激发感知、承载记忆的真实场所。

This is our tribute to the 15th anniversary of the Ocean College. It is not merely a pavilion, but an accessible fragment of time, a sanctuary of audible silence, and a corner where past and present, culture and nature, converge.
