Hotel Reception & Restaurant | Interior Design Working Drawings Course - 4th Year Architecture

This project is part of my group work for the final year. I was responsible for the Interior Design, Modeling, and Visualization of the Reception and Restaurant areas. My goal was to achieve high-quality realism while adhering to strict technical constraints.

Design Challenge & Solution: A major structural constraint was a fixed column located directly in front of the main reception stairs. It could not be moved due to its alignment with the basement parking module and the guest room grids above.

The Solution: I transformed this obstacle into a focal point by integrating the column into a central Flower Box and Water Feature within the staircase.

Technical Details (The Water Feature): To execute this, I designed column cladding to conceal the water supply pipe. The system operates on a Closed Cycle:

A submersible motor/pump is hidden in the planter base.

It pushes water up through the pipe hidden within the column cladding.

The water reaches the Water Manifold located in the dropped ceiling.

Water cascades down smoothly into the collection basin/drain to be recirculated.
