45 sqm apartment in Minsk, Belarus | 2025 | Maria Rozum & Marta Kolb
There’s a certain tenderness in transforming what was never meant to be beautiful.
This small apartment in a Soviet-era Khrushchyovka wasn’t built for charm — but now it breathes with light, color, and deliberate elegance. A northern interpretation of French modern classicism, infused with texture, curve, and memory.
The layout has been entirely reimagined to expand space without erasing memory. The kitchen merges terracotta cabinetry with warm wood and cool ceramics — an unexpected harmony. The dining area is intimate, playful, softened by curves and softened again by light.
In the living room, quiet blues wrap the space like twilight. Sculptural furniture, bold wall compositions, and architectural accents in rhythm with the floor pattern give the space its tactile logic.
The bathroom, though small, is honest and textural, grounding the entire apartment in authenticity.
This is not a project about grandeur, but about attention. To detail, to emotion, to the intimacy of space.
