“Whale Leaps（鲸跃）”坐落于冰岛科帕沃格尔（Kópavogur）极具活力的 Kársnes 半岛，作为建筑与自然、技术与人类智慧协同作用的鲜活见证，该方案深度挖掘了场域内风能、水能及地热资源的巨大潜力。建筑形态受“跃出水面的鲸鱼”启发，其形态生成（Morphology）既象征着冰岛自然景观中蕴含的原始生命力，也代表了建筑与生态系统之间的流体融合。作为国际设计竞赛的一等奖作品，本项目近期更接连斩获了 IDA 国际设计大奖银奖与 FDA 法兰西设计奖金奖，在可持续发展与科学探索之间构建了一个交汇场域。

Nestled within the evolving urban fabric of Kársnes, Iceland, Whale Leaps emerges as a testament to the synergy between nature and technology. Informed by the primal forces of wind and geothermal energy, the architectural morphology draws inspiration from a breaching whale—symbolizing both the untamed power of the Arctic landscape and the fluid integration of ecology and form. As the First Prize winner of the international design competition and a recipient of the IDA Silver and FDA Gold Awards, this research center harnesses the peninsula’s geothermal potential to cultivate a space where sustainability and scientific discovery converge.

项目的核心逻辑植根于对环境责任的坚定承诺。设施完全由整合的地热、风能和太阳能系统驱动，实现了零碳足迹运行。地下机电转换装置高效地分配能源，而细微排放的蒸汽孔则让景观随着大地的节奏一同律动。屋顶系统被赋予了保护性与生产性的双重角色，整合的地热管道在维持植被生长的同时实现自动融雪，使建筑能够无缝适应极地气候。采用当地木材建造的结构最大限度地减少了隐含碳，强化了项目与冰岛物质遗产的深厚联系。

At the heart of the project is a commitment to environmental responsibility. Powered entirely by integrated geothermal, wind, and solar systems, the facility operates with a zero-carbon footprint. Underground MEP conversion tanks efficiently distribute energy, while steam vents subtly release excess heat, forming a landscape that pulsates with the earth’s natural rhythms. The roofscape serves as both a protective and productive skin, integrating geothermal pipelines that sustain vegetation and facilitate snow-melting, allowing the architecture to adapt seamlessly to the polar climate.

景观本身成为了建筑叙事的延伸，被设计为一系列多维度的体验层次。从让游客沉浸在活跃场域中的“地热浅滩花园”，到建筑顶部的“风能屋顶露台”，每一处元素都强化了建筑与自然原力之间的共生关系。这不仅是一座建筑，更是一个可持续共生的生活模型。它见证了冰岛在可再生能源领域的先驱角色，并邀请人们共同探索由自然原力驱动的未来无限可能。

The landscape itself acts as a vital extension of this narrative, designed as a series of experiential layers. From the “Geothermal Shoal Garden” to the “Wind Energy Roof Terrace,” every element reinforces the relationship between architecture and the surrounding natural forces. The project is more than a building—it is a living model of sustainable co-existence, inviting visitors to explore the boundless possibilities of a world powered by the natural forces beneath our feet.
