My first spatial project at LASALLE College of the Arts; aiming to pioneer a renewable community designed for sustainable living in Cardiff, Wales.
Nestled in the streets of Cardiff - one of the rainiest cities in Europe with a monthly rainfall of 96mm, lies this container dwelling that integrates modern architecture. At its core, Eco-Unity features a farm that thrives on permaculture principles, providing fresh produce and fostering a strong sense of community among residents. The dwelling is equipped with solar panels, harnessing renewable energy to power homes and communal spaces, reducing the reliance on fossil fuels and minimising carbon footprint. A cutting-edge water filtration system ensures that all residents have access to pure, drinkable water sourced from rainwater harvesting. This system not only promotes health and wellness but also instills a deep appreciation for water conservation. Eco-Unity Dwelling is more than just a living space; it is a commitment to sustainability, resilience and community. Here, individuals come together to share resources, knowledge and a vision for a greener future.
