業主是我自己兄弟，思考一個熟悉的人，既簡單又困難。他是一個很愛喝酒的人，常常半夜自己躺在沙發看電視喝威士忌，接著就睡在客廳。對他而言客廳就是他的房間。幾年前他結婚生了兒子，跟大嫂他們一家人，買了一間房搬出去生活，但他的生活習慣還是一如往常。

他們把全部的預算都花費在客廳上，畢竟客廳是他們生活的核心所在。臥室就只有床跟衣櫃，滿有趣的。完工後看他在裡面生活的日子，我心裡滿是感動。

I’m designing for my brother. It’s actually harder than it sounds because I know him so well. He’s a big whisky lover and usually ends up crashing on the living room sofa after a late-night drink. Even after getting married and moving into a new place with his family, that habit hasn’t changed. They spent almost their whole budget on the living room, since that’s where they spend all their time. The bedrooms are just for sleeping. It’s interesting to see and honestly, seeing him so comfortable in the space I built really moves me.

Living room & Kitchen /客廳&廚房

開放式廚房是優先解決的問題，油煙干擾客廳的環境，利用拉門解決了這些困擾。

The open kitchen was the primary problem to be solved. Cooking fumes were interfering with the living room environment. I used sliding doors to resolve these issues.

Entrance/ 玄關

入口上方有大量的設備需要隱藏，導致天花較矮，利用鏡面增加一點立體效果。地坪利用異材質轉換區隔入口。

There is a large amount of equipment above the entrance that needs to be concealed. This results in a lower ceiling, so I used mirrors to create a sense of depth. Different flooring materials were used to define and separate the entrance area.

Bar counter / 吧檯

吧檯為這三個空間的中心，檯面協助廚房，也協助玄關進入可以放置物品，也讓客廳多了一個用餐調酒區域。

The bar counter serves as the hub for these three spaces. The countertop assists the kitchen and also provides a spot to place items when entering from the foyer. It also adds a dedicated area for dining and mixing drinks in the living room.
