Segovia, a world heritage city whose economic activity is generally focused on tourism, intends to find new ways to be at the forefront in order to encourage even more tourism.

As a result we were commissioned an exciting project: to transform the map, that is offered to tourists when they come to visit the city, in an augmented reality experience that allows you to see recommended routes depending on what you want to visit. So, that on your mobile you have the option to foresee as if it were a model the chosen route and the monuments to explore.

The only thing the tourist has to do is download the app and open it. Once opened, scan the code in the upper left corner and the 3D map will be displayed.

At the beginning it was decided to introduce only the main monuments of the city. But later, it was decided to introduce the topography of the city so that tourists can see the slopes they have to climb or where each monument is located and get an idea of how Segovia is distributed.

The objective is to create an Augmented Reality app that allows to see a three-dimensional model of the geography of Segovia, highlighting its most emblematic monuments and the routes that can be developed through the scanning of the physical plane.That is, when a tourist arrives in Segovia, he is given a map to locate himself. It shows the most usual route and the most typical monuments, but what if the map could be personalized? What if the map showed in 3D as a small model the point where you are and where you could go? or what's better, to decide whether to go up a whether to climb a slope or go up the steps? All this is proposed in this new idea that wants to highlight Segovia as the cradle of technology and tourism.

A character is also indicated to show you through geolocation where you are located so that you can find your way around.
