城市边缘的一片区域,沉浸在弗留利乡村之中,旨在成为一个创意生产之地,但首先,它是一个特权观景台,用于持续培养对环绕建筑的永久草甸和公园的审美眼光。
An area just outside the city, immersed in the Friulian countryside, designed to be a place for the production of creativity but, first and foremost, a privileged vantage point for the constant education of the eye on the permanent meadow and park that surrounds the building.

设计干预坐落在一个由庭院式住宅组成的综合体中,与近期翻新的附属建筑相呼应。在这组建筑的南侧,曾有一座约200平方米的农业棚屋,用作车库、锅炉房以及农具的储藏/遮蔽处。

The design intervention is set within a complex consisting of a courtyard-style dwelling, in dialogue with a recently renovated annex. South of this cluster of buildings stood an agricultural shed of approximately 200 sqm, used as a garage, boiler room, and a storage/shelter for farm tools.

这栋后者的改造始于一个根本性的地形限制:该物业位于梅杜纳河潜在洪水区的边缘,梅杜纳河是流入亚得里亚海的利文扎河的主要支流。应对这一潜在灾害是必要的设计前提,导致建筑底层抬高了约半米;其次,它也成为了设计入口和正面立面的指导原则,使它们相对于这个安全基准面被抬高。
The redevelopment of this latter building began with a fundamental topographical constraint: the property is located on the margin of the potential flood zone of the Meduna River, the main tributary of the Livenza River, which flows into the Adriatic Sea. Having to contend with this potential calamity was a necessary design constraint, leading to the raising of the building’s ground floor by about half a metre and, secondly, serving as a guideline for designing the entrances and the frontal elevation itself, which are elevated relative to this safeguarding base.

空间规划与体量处理是此次干预的核心主题。一方面,旨在塑造一种巨大而紧凑的形态感知,使其整体易于理解,这得益于一种由真正建筑表皮所彰显的显著统一性。另一方面,则要让这种紧凑感与解构原则相遇。
The spatial program and the management of the volume were the main themes of the intervention. On the one hand, developing a perception of a massive, compact form that is easily comprehensible in its entirety, thanks also to a marked uniformity denoted by a genuine architectural skin. On the other hand, allowing this compactness to meet the principle of disintegration.

建筑的北段对应车库区域,完全被直立锁边金属板这种矿物表皮所包裹,该表皮覆盖了整个结构。而向南移动,这层覆层逐渐打开,直至在箱型型材凉廊处完全褪去,凉廊在理想上代表了其结构和承重骨架。
While the northern section of the building, corresponding to the garages, is completely enveloped in the mineral skin of standing-seam metal sheeting that wraps the entire structure, as one moves south, this cladding opens up until it is completely shed in the box-profiled pergola, which ideally represents its structure and load-bearing skeleton.

This design narrative finally interweaves with a principle of compositional subtraction, which sees the interpenetration between the main body of the construction and a vertical parallelepiped volume oriented along the cardinal East-West axes. The result of this Boolean interpenetration defines its internal spatial program. This spatial interpenetration thus becomes an opportunity to delimit the large horizontal luminous opening to the north, a memory of the continuous succession of arches typical of Venetian barchesse.

This contemporary barchessa stands as an observation point, a laboratory conceived as a tool to train the eye to capture the unpredictable, the unexpected, the unforeseen events that occur throughout the seasons in the adjacent permanent meadow of over 2500 sqm.
