This project presents a cohesive landscape design for a contemporary single-family residence, where architecture and greenery are treated as one integrated system. The goal was to create a space that feels both structured and natural — minimal in form, yet rich in planting and atmosphere.
The garden is designed as a sequence of functional zones, each with its own identity, while maintaining visual continuity across the entire plot.
The composition is based on a clear geometric framework softened by lush, layered planting. Clean architectural lines are contrasted with organic textures, creating a balance between control and spontaneity.
Key ideas:
- Strong, minimalist hardscape as a base
- Repetition of forms (spherical trees, linear beds)
- Seasonal variability through diverse planting
- Gradual transition from public to private zones
The space is divided into distinct yet interconnected areas:
Front Garden (Entrance Zone) - representative, elegant composition with clipped forms and restrained planting, guiding visitors toward the entrance.
Side Garden (Transition Zone) - more intimate, immersive path enriched with ornamental grasses and perennials, creating a soft buffer between spaces.
Main Terrace & Lounge Area - social hub featuring a pergola, outdoor dining, and a fire pit lounge — designed for both daytime relaxation and evening atmosphere.
Relaxation Pavilion - semi-enclosed structure with soft textiles, ambient lighting, and a hot tub — a private retreat within the garden.
Family Garden - an open lawn combined with a subtle play area, integrated naturally into the planting scheme.
The planting design focuses on texture, rhythm, and long-season interest rather than excessive variety.
- dominant palette of greens with accents of white, purple, and soft pink
- structural shrubs and topiary forms for year-round composition
- perennials and grasses for movement and seasonality
- layered planting for depth and naturalistic effect
Special attention was given to realism — ensuring that plant combinations, densities, and growth habits reflect achievable, living landscapes.
