with Eliza ChojnackaSocial space for citizens of Łabiszyn on city island. "Przygarnij Przestrzeń" residency.

The project concerns an architectural intervention on the Park Island located on the Noteć River, which is a cultural site Łabiszyn city center. We started our activity within the Przygarnij Przestrzeń residency with a functional and spatial analysis. The island is divided into two parts - developed and wild. Earlier architectural activities in this area took place independently of each other, which led to spatial chaos. On this basis, a long-term plan was developed, focusing on the aesthetic cleaning of the island and the introduction of coherent elements. We give a homogeneous character all public utility facilities by enclosing them with squared timber. They have a function camouflage, but also a new identification of the island's space.

OUR PROPOSALS

During our stay in Łabiszyn, together with the residents of Łabiszyn, we conducted a series of meetings aimed at getting to know their problems and island needs. Interviews with various user groups indicated the need to create a new place meetings.
