„Studium funkcjonalno-przestrzenne zagospodarowania Placu Powstańców Wielkopolskich w Kłecku w kontekście terenów nad Jeziorem Gorzuchowskim i Kłeckim”

Our goal was to develop lake district in Klecko - city in Wielkopolskie wojewodstwo, as part of the competition „Studium funkcjonalno-przestrzenne zagospodarowania Placu Powstańców Wielkopolskich w Kłecku w kontekście terenów nad Jeziorem Gorzuchowskim i Kłeckim”.

Our first proposal was to develop new residential district near lake shore, develop public and community area in that region, as well as preserve existing residential structure and existing urban landmarks: Kłecko stadium, Biwakowisko Kłecko, Klub Żeglarski Korsarz and Plaża "Język". One of the main conditions was to develop a recreational and cultural area around "Barbara Stronghold" (Kłeckie grodzisko "Barbara"), which was the main object of the competition, and than to determine the most advantageous site for the stadium within the urban context.

DEVELOPMENT AREA ANALYSIS

FUNCTIONAL DIVISION

NATURAL AND CULTURAL LANDSCAPE AREA

Combines recreational and heritage-related functions. It includes a camping zone and a public park a Barbara Stronghold and an adjacent pavilion featuring an exhibition of archaeological finds discovered on site. This zone connects natural surroundings with cultural and educational activities.

LOW-DENSITY RESIDENTIAL AREA

Located along the lakeshore and consists of small, standardized single-family houses. The layout ensures a close relationship with the natural landscape while maintaining a quiet and residential character.

EXISTING RESIDENTIAL AREA

Preserves the low-rise village structure, maintaining the traditional scale and spatial arrangement of the historic settlement.

SPORTS AND RECREATION AREA

Accommodates a sports and leisure center, surrounding recreational spaces, and the Kłecko Stadium, providing facilities for both organized sports activities and informal outdoor recreation.

PUBLIC AND COMMUNITY AREA

Serves as the social core of the site. It includes an open-air amphitheater, sports courts, children’s playgrounds, a small market, a hotel, and a public square with fountains. A pedestrian riverfront promenade connects these elements and supports everyday public use and social interaction
