PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Multy-family residential building is located in an old district of Poznań, embedded in a continuous

street line formed by early 20th-century houses. Its architecture responds to the existing urban

rhythm through calm proportions, repetitive vertical elements and terraces, that extend the horizontal line of the façade, reinforcing the continuity of the street. At the same time, the slightly sharpened corner and the projecting balconies on the opposite side introduce a subtle tension in

the volume, creating a quiet collision of forms. This contrast allows the building to remain restrained yet expressive, respectful of its context. The project is based on the idea that residential architecture is first about the human scale — emotions,everyday experience, and sensory perception. It’s first of all a space for everyday life, what people see almost daily as they move through city streets, preoccupied with their own concerns. Building shouldn't blend into a single mass, but shouldn't be irritating either.

The housing is conceived for single residents and young or elderly couples who seek a balance between urban proximity and everyday calm. The project addresses the growing demand for compact, well-organized living spaces that support contemporary lifestyles without excess, focusing on spatial efficiency and comfort.
