WINTERWONDERLAND IN GERMANY

PURE NATURE | BREATHTAKING VIEW | COLORFUL SUNRISE | FOG

Sunrise on the top of the Feldberg with some warm colours. Due to the climate change, these moments are rare. But I was able to capture the golden sunrise with the high level clouds  which had framed in the whole scenery.

I don't need to travel to Lappland, if the weather conditions are right I prefer to stay close to home. This image was taken during a visit in the Black Forest, a very rare and cold morning. I was arriving at this location around 1 1/2 hr before sunrise. For me it is really important to take my time finding decent compositions. Running around like a headless chicken could end up in unbalanced compositions - the light is gone.

A snow covered world, that looks like Lappland - but this place is located in Germany

Cirrocumulus - shortly before sunrise, the "sheep clouds" are turning into purple, red and yellow colours.

High above the fog  with a clear view towards the Swiss Alps - Altostratus clouds create a golden -dark atmosphere.

The Feldberg tower dominates the entire composition.

I haven´t witnessed such an amazing light, everything worked well although one day before there hadn't been any chances of some sunlight due to the foggy weather.

During my visit in the Black Forest, the weather was quite different.

Being creative means to me to go outside explore new subjects and if the weather conditions aren't as planned, I try to get the best images as possible and of course I found some nice trees in the dense fog.

I was able to take some highkey shots ( I overexposured the image intentionally). The feeling that the images shows reminds me of silence and peaceful times.

The nature can be so peaceful, why aren't we learning from it?
