Nowhere Jump
My friends and I built this jump from scratch in 2020, in a secluded spot on the outskirts of the city, where there was nothing but forest before. With just shovels and hard work, we built the takeoff and landing, packing down the dirt one shovel at a time to make it stable and rideable. It took time and effort, moving dirt, refining the angles, and adjusting it until it felt right. The jump is smaller and has a similar design to the step-up in the "Rinne," but at half the size. This made it much less intimidating for trying out tricks for the first time, offering a more forgiving and controlled way to build confidence before moving on to bigger jumps. Unfortunately, I don’t have any photos of the early building process, only ones showing it once it was already standing as we worked on shaping and maintaining it.
Here are a few shots of me riding the jump. Looking back at these pictures, I can see how every small decision we made while shaping it influenced the way it rode. The design process was all about trial and error, adjusting the take-off, refining the angles, and packing down the dirt until it felt just right. These images capture not just the jump itself, but the effort and dedication that went into building and maintaining it over time.
