The Blueriot project represents a complete renovation of the Deveron offices, situated in a postmodern building from the 90’s. The brief was to create a space that combines functional workspace with atmosphere and a strong concept. Inspiration came from the client’s personal passions – aviation and diving – and was translated into an interior that balances between the depths of the ocean and the open sky. Light, materials, and scenography amplify the energy of the space and are inspiration for work.

The original interior, weighed down by plasterboard partitions and cassette ceilings, suffered from a lack of natural light and openness. The renovation revealed the building’s original tectonics – a monumental monolithic vault and previously hidden volumes that now define the character of the space.

Isometric diagram © CISARSTUDIO
The scenographic design harmonises with the dominant vault, reminiscent of an inverted ship hull. Beneath it floats a light and acoustic installation – the “whale wing” – inspired by the skeleton of a whale and the lightness of Blériot’s airplane. Ocean and sky, depth and flight converge in a seamless fusion of nature, technology, and human creativity. The installation introduces movement, dynamism, and soft daylight, while the glazed eastern façade maximises light and connects the interior with panoramic city views.

Materials and colours reflect the aesthetics of aviation and ocean depths: aluminum and stainless steel details, coral red evoking the legendary “Red Baron,” an iconic fighter pilot, and deep indigo contrast with soft Barrisol light ceilings and raw concrete with coloured glazes. Reflective surfaces and scenographic lighting visually expand the space. Original columns, covered with climbing plants, bring greenery into the interior and complete the harmonious connection between technology and nature.

A key challenge of the project was achieving optimal acoustic and lighting comfort. The main lighting feature – the “whale wing” – spans 16 meters, made of aluminum and 3D-printed components, covered with a Barrisol membrane with a micro-perforated underside for enhanced acoustics and even light diffusion. The installation also optimises airflow. Open-plan areas and meeting rooms employ the Barrisol Clim system – a stretched double membrane with integrated cooling and ventilation – ensuring uniform thermal comfort while maintaining a clean architectural expression.

Blueriot thus unites the aesthetics of the ocean and sky with high-tech architecture, innovative technologies, and an inspiring atmosphere that fosters creativity and everyday work.
