在宁波这座制造业与外贸交汇的港口城市，我们为一家外贸公司完成了其800平米办公空间的设计。在这个项目中，我们试图剥离多余的装饰，回归建造的初衷：用常规可见的材料，以最简单节约的方式，构建一个经得起时间凝视的工作场所。这不仅是一次关于“减法”的实践，也是一次对“极简主义”理性下的解读。

In Ningbo, a port city where manufacturing and foreign trade converge, we have completed the design of an 800-square-meter office space for a trading company. In this project, we sought to strip away superfluous decoration and return to the original intent of construction: using the most ordinary materials, in the most honest way, to build a workplace that can withstand the test of time. This is not only a practice of “subtraction” but also a rational interpretation of minimalism.

面对这个800平米的汽车配件外贸办公空间，业主的需求非常明确：高效、耐看、且具备工业品的纯粹感。作为设计者，我们决定将“经济性”作为设计的出发点，而非限制。我们试图证明：用简单节约的方式，同样可以抵达高级的审美。 我们拒绝为了设计而设计的造型，转而挖掘材料本身的叙事能力。

Facing this 800-square-meter office space for an auto parts trading company, the client’s requirements were very clear: efficiency, durability, and the pure aesthetic of industrial products. As designers, we decided to take “economy” as the starting point of our design, rather than as a constraint. We tried to prove that a simple and economical approach can still achieve a high level of aesthetics. We rejected contrived forms designed for their own sake, and instead turned to the narrative power of materials.

我们不仅利用海洋板制作了墙面的包裹以及分色、门窗的套线，甚至整个办公空间的办公桌，均由我们自行设计并用海洋板定制而成。裸露的板材断面经过精细打磨，呈现出如同巧克力片层般的独特肌理。这种材料既承担了结构的逻辑，又充当了最终的装饰面。它以一种“未完成”的状态，体现了我们想表达的：装饰即构造，构造即装饰。

We used marine plywood not only for wall cladding, color blocking, and door/window trim, but also for the desks throughout the office — all custom-designed by us and made from marine plywood. The exposed cross-sections of the panels were finely sanded, revealing a unique texture reminiscent of chocolate layers. This material assumes both the logic of structure and the final finish. It embodies, in an “unfinished” state, what we want to express: decoration is construction, and construction is decoration.

海洋板是整个项目的灵魂材料。这种桦木皮纹多层板，以其出色的结构稳定性和独有的断面层次，成为了我们空间中最重要的“构造者”。

Marine plywood is the soul material of the entire project. This birch multi-layer plywood, originally used for hull construction, has become the most important “constructor” in our space due to its excellent structural stability and unique cross-section layering.

在办公区域的大面积天花上，我们采用了更有肌理的真石漆。它不仅造价经济，更以其天然的矿物色泽和粗粝的质感，呼应了汽车零部件行业的工业属性。以一种“诚实的粗糙”，确定了整个空间稳重坚硬、可靠的基调。

On the large ceiling area of the office, we used textured stone paint. It is not only economical but also, with its natural mineral color and rough texture, echoes the industrial character of the auto parts industry. It is an “honest roughness” that establishes a stable and reliable tone for the entire space.
