Casa Princeton由艾玛·古德温（Emma Goodwin）与马修·古德温（Matthew Goodwin）共同改造完成，以1930年代西班牙殖民风格为基底，在保留历史肌理的同时，注入当代家庭生活的温度与活力。项目尊重建筑原始气质，以柔和手法梳理空间秩序，让手工抹制的厚重灰泥墙面、流畅弧线拱券与赤陶装饰等经典元素自然延续，形成兼具质感与温度的居住容器。自然光透过铁艺窗棂与花砖缝隙漫入室内，层次柔和，为日常场景铺就宁静底色。

Casa Princeton was renovated by Emma Goodwin and Matthew Goodwin. It is based on the Spanish colonial style of the 1930s, while preserving the historical texture and injecting the warmth and vitality of contemporary family life. The project respects the original character of the building and organizes the space in a gentle way, allowing classic elements such as the thick plaster walls, smooth arc arches, and terracotta decorations to naturally continue, forming a living container with both texture and warmth. Natural light filters through the iron window frames and gaps between the ceramic tiles, creating a soft and harmonious atmosphere, and laying a peaceful background for daily scenes.

设计团队从地中海生活美学中汲取灵感，将旅居经历与家庭需求融入空间营造，使老宅适配现代生活节奏。空间改造注重功能与体验的平衡，保留原始橡木地板、拱形门洞、彩色玻璃与复古壁炉等标志性构件，以低调细节串联历史与当下。青铜五金、弧形吊顶等精致处理，在不破坏整体氛围的前提下提升使用舒适度，让老建筑承载新生家庭的日常烟火。

The design team drew inspiration from the Mediterranean lifestyle aesthetics and incorporated their travel experiences and family needs into the space creation, making the old house suitable for the modern pace of life. The space renovation focuses on balancing functionality and experience, preserving the original oak flooring, arched doorways, colored glass, and vintage fireplaces, among other iconic elements, to connect history with the present through subtle details. The exquisite treatments such as bronze hardware and curved ceilings enhance the comfort of use without disrupting the overall atmosphere, allowing the old building to carry the daily life of a new family.

材质与工艺的选择贯穿质朴与精致的融合逻辑，强化空间的触感体验与叙事性。手工质感的墙面肌理、复古花砖与温润金属配件相互映衬，形成丰富而不杂乱的视觉层次。软装搭配克制有度，色彩沉稳柔和，兼顾艺术氛围与实用功能，使每个区域既独立成章又彼此呼应，呈现松弛有序的整体气质。

The selection of materials and craftsmanship follows a logic of blending simplicity and refinement, enhancing the tactile experience and narrative quality of the space. The handcrafted texture of the walls, vintage floor tiles, and smooth metal accessories complement each other, creating a rich yet uncluttered visual hierarchy. The soft furnishing is carefully coordinated, with stable and soft colors, balancing artistic atmosphere and practical functionality. This results in each area being self-contained yet communicating with each other, presenting a relaxed and orderly overall temperament.

这座历经时光沉淀的住宅，在两位设计师的打磨下成为兼具历史底蕴与当代精神的宜居之所。改造以最小干预实现最大提升，守护建筑本真的同时回应现代家庭的生活向往，让历史建筑以新的姿态持续生长，成为承载情感、安放日常烟火的温馨居所。

This residence, which has been refined over time, has been transformed by the two designers into a livable place that combines historical heritage with contemporary spirit. The renovation achieved the greatest improvement with the least intervention, preserving the authenticity of the building while responding to the living aspirations of modern families. This allows the historical building to continue to grow in a new form, becoming a warm and cozy place that holds emotions and accommodates daily life.
