The chosen location lies within a vibrant and dynamic urban context, adjacent to an existing military museum, which presents a unique opportunity for the area to evolve into a comprehensive museum district in the future. The plot is strategically positioned along a major road, offering high visibility and accessibility. Its orientation directly faces the emerging skyline of New Alamein’s modern towers, reinforcing the dialogue between heritage and contemporary development. This setting enhances the project's cultural relevance and ensures long term urban integration.

Concept Summary

Nahawand Center presents a modern architectural vision that blends Arabic calligraphy with digital design. Traditional letterforms are reimagined as contemporary spatial compositions. The project reflects Arab cultural identity through interior spaces designed using principles of modern architecture. It also incorporates sustainable strategies to preserve the environment, creating a balanced expression between tradition and modernity.

Design Philosophy

-The design philosophy embraces the organic flow of Arabic calligraphy through parametric design, generating dynamic curves and spatial fluidity. Using advanced modeling and digital fabrication tools, the architecture achieves spatial harmony, movement, and precision.

-A central element of the project is the use of mesh structures, which serve as a connective layer between abstract Arabic letterforms and architectural form-making. These structures offer a balance of rigidity and elegance, embodying a temporal transition from cultural heritage to visionary urbanism.

Reception Area Visualization:

A bold welcome space that blends modern minimalism with cultural identity. The dynamic calligraphic background complements the futuristic ceiling installation, while natural elements soften the environment and enhance the overall spatial balance.

Central Atrium Visualization:

The heart of the building features a dynamic vertical water element inscribed with Arabic calligraphy, framed by a circular skylight that floods the space with natural light. The gentle sound of cascading water enhances the sense of calm and psychological well-being, offering visitors a peaceful pause within the architectural flow. The combination of greenery, curved seating, and fluid textures creates a meditative and immersive spatial experience.
