TUDOR HOUSE
FROM INSPIRATION TO REALITY
Vision — Design — Execution
Project Year: 2025
Status: Concept
Software used: Autodesk Revit, Lumion, 3D Max, Adobe Photoshop
Architect : Anastasiia Muratova
This project began with a single image of a historic house that the client found online. The visual made a strong impression, and the goal was clear: to recreate the house “exactly as in the picture.” However, no floor plans, drawings, or additional façade views were available — only one perspective image.
The challenge was not simply to replicate a façade, but to reconstruct a coherent architectural object from limited visual information and transform it into a buildable residential project.
The total area of the house is 258.2 m², including a 21.8 m² terrace. The site is located in the Moscow Region, Russia. The project is currently at the initial stage of implementation (contractor selection and cost estimation approval). The full design process, including visualizations, took approximately six months.
Our task was to reconstruct the architecture while preserving the character and atmosphere of the original reference. The brick module was taken as the fundamental unit, serving as the basis for defining accurate proportions and geometry. Using this module, a detailed 3D model of the future house was developed in Revit.
One of the main challenges was interpreting the unknown architecture. We had to: logically reconstruct the missing façades, define structural principles, refine proportions, develop volumetric composition, and ensure architectural coherence from all viewpoints.
The project reinterprets Tudor architectural elements — expressive brickwork, steep rooflines, decorative timber framing — adapting them to contemporary residential standards.
Particular attention was paid to: proportional balance, brick detailing and module consistency, fasade plasticity and rhythm, roof geometry and silhouette, integration of decorative elements within realistic construction logic.
Beyond visual reconstruction, the project required full adaptation to real conditions: placement on a specific site in the Moscow Region, orientation and environmental context, functional zoning and spatial organization client requirements (room count and layout logic), integration of a compliant gas boiler room.
The interior planning was developed from scratch, ensuring that the external image and internal logic function as one cohesive structure.
The project bridges inspiration and implementation — transforming a single atmospheric image into a realistic architectural proposal prepared for construction.
