本项目位于上海市崇明中学，是该校校友为纪念崇明中学建校110周年而捐款建造。现状崇明中学校园的总体规划为环形布局，周边教学楼及活动场地均依据环形或穿越圆心的放射线布置，而校友亭的选址正位于环形中央。因此它不仅是一座为校园师生提供日常休憩场所的景观亭，也是校园周年庆典举办的核心场所。

‌This project is located at Chongming High School in Shanghai and was funded by alumni donations to commemorate the 110th anniversary of the school’s founding. The current master plan of Chongming High School adopts a circular layout, with surrounding teaching buildings and activity venues arranged along concentric rings or radial lines passing through the center. The alumni pavilion is strategically situated at the core of this circular layout. Thus, it functions not only as a scenic resting place for teachers and students in daily life but also as the central venue for campus anniversary celebrations.

校友亭坐落的地点，是一处现状圆形平台，一侧为校园主路，另一侧为中央景观水面。平台中心原为一棵大树，后因生长不佳而被伐除。新建的校友亭因此而采取中央透空的环形平面，以回应曾经的树荫与木叶之间漏下的阳光。亭檐与座椅所构成的休憩空间，可令学生们依稀记起曾经树下相聚的时光。

The alumni pavilion is positioned on an existing circular platform, with the main campus road on one side and the central landscape water area on the other. Originally, a large tree stood at the center of the platform but was later removed due to poor growth. In response to this, the newly built alumni pavilion features a circular floor plan with an open center, echoing the sunlight that once filtered through the tree’s canopy and leaves. The resting space formed by the pavilion’s eaves and seats enables students to vaguely recall the time they spent gathering under the tree.

木亭采用了胶合木互承结构，由完全相同的十二根柱与十二根梁环绕而成。胶合木结构可以尽量减少对场地的侵扰，也最大限度压缩了现场施工时间，以免影响师生日常教学活动。互承结构则充分利用了木材本身的强度与柔韧性，同时在此种结构模式中，建筑构件的平等均衡与构件间的互相承托关系，也与学生们互相帮助共同成长的理想生活状态相吻合。▼校友亭结构示意图，Structural diagram of the Alumni Pavilion ©上海绿建建筑设计事务所有限公司

The timber pavilion utilizes a glued-laminated timber reciprocal structure, consisting of twelve identical columns and twelve beams arranged in a circular configuration. The glued-laminated timber structure minimizes site disturbance and significantly reduces on-site construction time, thereby avoiding disruption to the daily teaching activities of teachers and students. The reciprocal structure fully leverages the inherent strength and flexibility of wood. Furthermore, in this structural system, the equal and balanced relationship among building components, as well as the mutual support between them, aligns with the ideal state of students helping each other and growing together.

梁柱单元采用双拼式组合结构，其轴线朝向结构受力方向而非平面中央，与人们所习惯的观看视线形成一定角度，从而产生微妙的空间错觉与动态感。梁柱单元内平行布置的木格栅也进一步强化了旋转互承结构的节奏与韵律。

The beam-column units adopt a paired composite structure, with their axes oriented toward the direction of structural force rather than the center of the plan, creating a subtle spatial illusion and sense of dynamism by forming an angular deviation from the viewer’s habitual line of sight.‌The parallel wooden lattices arranged within each beam-column unit further enhance the rhythm and articulation of the rotating reciprocal structure.

希望这座造型谦逊然而结构逻辑明晰的木亭能够成承载校友们的祝福与期望，并且从此融入学生们的青春记忆。

We hope this modestly styled yet structurally coherent wooden pavilion will carry the blessings and aspirations of alumni, and henceforth become an integral part of students’ youthful memories.
