Villa Arco Verde

This villa was designed in direct response to the warm, humid, and lush climate of Brazil, where architecture must balance environmental performance, comfort, and a strong connection to nature.

The architectural concept is rooted in a contemporary reinterpretation of Mediterranean architecture, combining pure white volumes with deep, sculpted arches. These arched forms are not only a defining aesthetic element, but also serve a climatic function—providing shade, filtering daylight, and creating comfortable semi-outdoor living spaces suited to the Brazilian climate.

The overall massing emphasizes clarity, proportion, and horizontality, allowing the building to sit calmly within its tropical context. Tall, vertically proportioned openings enhance natural ventilation, maximize daylight, and establish a continuous visual relationship between interior spaces, the landscape, and the pool area. The transition between inside and outside is intentionally softened, encouraging an open and fluid way of living.

Material selection focuses on a calm and natural palette. White textured surfaces are paired with warm natural stone, creating a balanced contrast that feels both refined and grounded. This material strategy enhances thermal comfort while delivering a timeless, understated sense of luxury that resonates with the surrounding environment.

Interior spaces are designed with a minimal yet warm approach, prioritizing spatial clarity, functionality, and comfort.
