在Valle de Bravo小镇的高处，一块地形复杂且不规则的坡地之上，Casa Valle得以建造。沿着陡峭山路攀升后，玻璃、钢与木构成的垂直界面在松树林间浮现，其上，一块混凝土平台从树梢间挑出，悬于覆盖植被的岩石坡面之上。

In the upper part of the town of Valle de Bravo, on a plot of land with irregular and complex topography, Casa Valle is built. After a steep climb, vertical planes of glass, steel, and wood appear among pine trunks. Above them, a concrete platform projects out from the treetops, hovering over a rocky slope with its vegetation.

住宅通过一个被玻璃围合的前厅进入，入口隐于由岩石花园、多肉植物、香草与本地灌木构成的景观之中。顺应场地高度与地势的限制，建筑沿坡地展开，并被划分为两个屋顶坡向相反的体量。面向松林与后院的卧室位于更为内敛、受庇护的一侧；而容纳厨房与起居空间的主要体量，则安置于具有表现力的混凝土平台之上。通过细微的高差变化，起居与餐厅层层向下展开，通向一个宽敞的观景阳台，将湖泊与山谷的景观尽收眼底。设计意图在于最大化场地潜力，充分利用朝向与视野，使住宅与周边森林环境形成紧密关联。

The house is accessed through a glass-enclosed vestibule nestled among rock gardens, succulents, herbs, and local shrubs. Responding to the limitations of the site’s height and elevation, the house follows the slope of the land. It is divided into two volumes with roofs of opposing inclines. The bedrooms, facing the pine trees and the backyard, are located in the more sheltered portion of the property. The main volume, housing the kitchen and living area, sits atop the expressive concrete platform. With subtle changes in level, the living and dining rooms cascade down to a spacious balcony offering excellent views of the lake and valley. The intention was to make the most of the site’s potential and, ultimately, to capitalize on the views and orientation. The house successfully captures the presence of the surrounding forest.

建筑在构造上形成清晰对比：下部为嵌入地面的混凝土与石材基座，上部则由钢与木框架构成，并与楼梯、内置家具、夹层空间及垂直立面板共同形成整体体系。两者均充分运用本地材料——压制黏土砖与屋面瓦、板岩石材、木梁与木构节点，以及外露混凝土、抹灰砌体、门窗与钢结构，均在当地生产完成。来自墨西哥本土的彩色瓷砖、陶器与百叶构件，则在整体中性基调中提供了富有层次的对比与点缀。

There is a difference between the concrete and stone base, which sits and is embedded in the ground, and the upper section, assembled with steel and wood frames in conjunction with the staircase, built-in furniture, mezzanine level, and vertical facade panels. In both cases, local materials were used to their fullest potential: pressed clay tiles and roof tiles, flagstone, wooden beams and joinery. Exposed concrete, stuccoed masonry, windows and doors, and a steel structure—all locally manufactured. The colorful Mexican-made tiles, ceramics, and blinds add a touch of contrast to the neutral color palette.
