This project aims to explore various styles of artistic rendering applied to data from biological and medical research. Beyond its illustrative role, the image captures the viewer’s attention and sparks curiosity, offering a clear and immediate entry point into the content and its scientific rigor.

Both purposeful and complementary, the artist’s vision thus supports a sensitive imagination shaped by the “hidden” nature of the subject.

Ce projet vise à explorer différents styles de rendu artistique sur des données issues de recherche biologique et médicale. L’image, au delà de son rôle d'illustration du propos, capte l’attention du lecteur et suscite sa curiosité, en offrant un point d’entrée simple et immédiat vers le contenu et la rigueur scientifique.

Orientée et complémentaire, la vision d'artiste sert ainsi l'imaginaire sensible que le caractère "caché" du sujet impose.

Crâne humain

Built on a detailed 3D foundation, the composition and chosen textures lay the subject onto a drawing sheet and stylishly steer the illustration toward an anatomical study of the skeleton.

Sur une base 3D détaillée, la composition et les textures choisies couchent le sujet sur un papier à dessin et orientent avec style l'illustration vers une étude anatomique du squelette.

The cartoon rendering mode with contour lines simplifies the readability and understanding of the model in cross-section; it would be perfectly suited for a schematic visual with legend and annotations.

The artistic direction embraces a striking, impactful image. The colors and contrasting interplay of light capture the eye, which ultimately gets lost in the model’s organic details.
