This project examines Vienna’s leisure spaces as a stage where excess and banality quietly collide. Eschewing polished urban narratives, these images focus on the moments where visual order slips. Saturated facades and ornamental figures coexist with traces of inactivity, creating a tension between what is designed to attract and what remains when the audience leaves.

These photographs embrace accumulation over isolation; elements overlap and compete until signage becomes more present than purpose. It is an observation of dissonance, spaces built for experience, yet captured in a state of suspension between performance and abandonment.
