Project Overview

This personal project explores the concept of a luxury "Master Suite", where noble materials like natural stone and walnut wood define a sophisticated resting space. My goal was to create an intimate environment, focusing on how cinematic lighting can enhance the relief of organic textures.

The Creative Challenge

The challenge here was to balance the coldness of the stone with the warmth of the wood. I worked with a palette of deep earthy tones and warm grays to maintain a high-end feel. The focus was on the lighting of the backlit stone panel and the soft shadows cast by the decorative lamps, creating a "quiet luxury" mood. I paid close attention to the displacement of the stone wall to ensure it felt authentic and heavy.

Post-Production: Adobe Photoshop

I focused on the subsurface scattering and reflection settings of the stone and wood to ensure they responded realistically to the multiple light sources. The final composition was balanced in Photoshop to emphasize the depth of the shadows while keeping the highlights of the accent lighting crisp.
