Located in the Altos de Trancoso condominium, the project was based on studies of wind direction and solar incidence in the region to structure the implementation and spatial organization of this vacation home, thereby ensuring the use of natural resources and providing thermal comfort to the environments. Another ally of the proposal was the landscaping created, which allows the house to open up to sunlight without losing privacy in relation to neighbors. As a complementary strategy, photovoltaic panels were incorporated, enhancing the energy performance of the residence.

The "L" shaped floor plan, oriented completely towards the landscape, separates the social and intimate areas: on one side, the living rooms, which integrate with the pool and garden through wooden pivot doors, and on the other, the suites, connected under a biriba roof. Among the main materials chosen are eucalyptus, natural stone, and concrete. Elements such as brises and slatted panels, typical of homes in southern Bahia, compose the project's language, contributing to light control and the transition between covered and uncovered areas.

At the main entrance, the biriba pergola filters the light and marks the passage between the exterior and interior. Internally, the presence of stone on the walls establishes a dialogue with the flooring and structural elements, consolidating a unified reading. The roof, constructed with taubilhas, reinforces this reading.

The main challenge was to create a project that utilized local labor, thus aiming to maintain and enhance vernacular architecture. The custom-made carpentry, also executed by professionals from the region, reinforces the material coherence of the project, just as the natural fiber pendants integrate the lighting design with the architecture.
