Mount Airy Residence由建筑师拉维·拉吉（Ravi Raj）主持改造与扩建，项目坐落于纽约州威彻斯特郡克罗顿哈德逊市，以尊重场地文脉与本土建筑语言为核心，完成对一栋百年石质住宅的当代焕新。建筑保留原始石砌主体，就近取材匹配毛石延展基座，上层以白色横向挂板提亮立面，新旧界面和谐共生。上世纪80年代加建部分被增改楼层，陡坡屋顶与老虎窗呼应传统住宅形制，整体屋面线条统一完整。

The Mount Airy Residence was renovated and expanded by architect Ravi Raj. The project is located in Croton-Harmon City, Westchester County, New York. Centered on respecting the sites context and local architectural language, the project successfully modernized a century-old stone house. The original stone structure was preserved, and local materials were used to match the rough stone base. The upper part was brightened with white horizontal panels, creating a harmonious coexistence of old and new interfaces. The added part from the 1980s was expanded into new floors, and the steep roof and the tiger windows corresponded to the traditional residential form, with unified and complete roof lines.

室内以温润自然材质与柔和曲线构建连贯叙事，漆木、打磨大理石与柔软织物贯穿空间，弧形元素见于拱门、细部与艺术化楼梯，形成室内外视觉呼应。厨房采用经典灰色夏克式柜体搭配深色纹理大理石台面，弧形挡水与壁灯柔化线条，早餐角内嵌卡座与玻璃门引景入园。起居与餐厨一体贯通，方整布艺单人椅、弧形壁炉与沙发相映，整面拱形窗榻直面花园与林地，黑色门窗与配饰为中性基调注入层次。

The interior is constructed with warm and natural materials and gentle curves to create a coherent narrative. Lacquered wood, polished marble, and soft fabrics run through the space. Arc-shaped elements can be seen in arches, details, and artistic staircases, creating visual echoes between indoors and outdoors. The kitchen features classic gray Schuck cabinets paired with dark-textured marble countertops. Arc-shaped water barriers and wall lights soften the lines. The breakfast corner has a built-in bench and glass doors that frame the view and lead into the garden. The living area and the kitchen are seamlessly connected. Square-shaped fabric armchairs, arc-shaped fireplaces, and sofas complement each other. The entire arched window bench faces the garden and the woodland. Black doors and accessories add layers to the neutral tone.

主卧室位于老宅核心区，外露屋架漆为深绿色，搭配复古木作、深色皂石壁炉与厚重亚麻布艺，质感层次丰富。相邻卫浴以白色护墙板与六角马赛克瓷砖营造明亮通透氛围，独立浴缸、双面采光与无框玻璃淋浴区提升空间尺度感。地下层作为主入口，玄关与杂物间铺设石灰石地面，板条护墙板与大地色调呼应自然环境，定制皂石农艺水槽与卧室壁炉材质形成呼应。

The master bedroom is located in the core area of the old house. The exposed roof beams are painted in dark green, complemented by vintage woodwork, dark soapstone fireplaces and thick linen upholstery, creating a rich texture and depth. The adjacent bathroom is decorated with white baseboards and hexagonal mosaic tiles to create a bright and transparent atmosphere. The standalone bathtub, double-sided natural lighting and frameless glass shower area enhance the sense of space scale. The basement serves as the main entrance. The entrance hall and storage room are paved with limestone flooring, with slatted wall panels and earthy tones echoing the natural environment. Customized soapstone agricultural water sinks and the bedroom fireplace material form a contrast.

抬高露台与石砌 patio 延伸生活场景，内嵌烧烤台与金属火坑适配四季使用。大面积窗景将花园、池塘与林地带入室内，历史构件与当代饰面自然融合，室内外边界消解，过去与当下在此持续对话，呈现兼具在地性与当代性的恒久居所气质。

Raise the terrace and the stone-paved patio to extend the living space. The built-in barbecue area and the metal fire pit are suitable for use throughout the year. The large window views bring the garden, pond and forest area into the interior. Historical components and contemporary finishes are naturally integrated, eliminating the boundary between indoors and outdoors. Past and present engage in continuous dialogue here, presenting a timeless residence with local characteristics and contemporary appeal.
