Edge of Nature
This project explores the idea of a restrained architectural presence placed within a strong natural context. The house is designed as a clear horizontal composition that follows the logic of the landscape instead of competing with it. Its geometry is simple and precise, allowing the surrounding mountains and dense forest to remain the dominant visual elements.
The structure is defined by a concrete frame and large transparent surfaces that open the interior to the environment. Floor-to-ceiling glazing creates a continuous visual connection with nature, bringing natural light deep into the space and allowing the exterior to become part of the daily living experience. The house does not separate itself from the site but instead frames and enhances it.
The interior is organized as an open and fluid sequence of spaces. Living, dining, and relaxation areas are visually connected, forming a calm and coherent environment. The material palette is intentionally restrained, with warm tones and natural textures that complement the cooler colors of the landscape. Lighting plays a key role in shaping the atmosphere, especially in the evening when the house softly glows against the darker surroundings.
The ground level extends toward the outdoor area, creating a private space for rest and leisure. The upper level offers a more intimate setting while maintaining a strong visual relationship with the exterior. Each element is carefully considered, contributing to a sense of clarity and balance.
This project is about simplicity, proportion, and atmosphere. It reflects an approach where architecture becomes a quiet frame for life and nature.
