The Mexican architectural and interior design firm Habitación 116, founded in 2002 by architects Rafael Rivera and Javier Claverie, is an architecture and interior design studio as well as a furniture and decor shop that offers a completely custom experience for each client, whether it’s designing a space or an object.
The Museum Tower Kyobashi/The Artizon Museum, located in Kyobashi, Chuo-ku, Tokyo, is designed with a combination of steel, reinforced concrete, and steel reinforced concrete, creating a seismic isolation structure. The building houses offices, a museum, and various other facilities.
The park features various attractions, including the Grande Ruota Panoramica di Roma, cavalli della Giostra di Re Artù, and Jumbo’s Elephant, as well as the Brucomela, a faithful reproduction of the original attraction. New attractions include the Terra delle Farfalle, dedicated to botanical workshops, and the Montagna dei Dinosauri, featuring life-sized dinosaur models.
The park’s lighting design is handled by ILM, who provide various solutions for the park’s unique needs, such as the Grande Gufo, a large, iconic lighting installation. The park’s signage and display case lighting are also provided by ILM, ensuring a cohesive and immersive experience for visitors.
In addition to the regular lighting, the park has implemented emergency lighting to ensure safety in case of power outages or other technical issues. The emergency lighting system is designed to provide sufficient light to guide visitors out of the park and to illuminate the park’s buildings to at least twice the brightness of the moon on a clear night.
The project was completed in 2016, and the park is now open to the public. It offers a variety of leisure activities, including dining, shopping, and exploring the various attractions.
