This eco-building is a wood module designed and prefabricated in a workshop this summer joined in its final location using a helicopter that took care of the prefabricated panels up to the place. It was necessary to integrate in the process of planning this special transport requirements such that the maximum weight of the panels could not exceed 800 Kg.
In its conception it has favored a large south-facing glass facade with low emissivity double glazing to maximize solar gain in winter and maximize energy efficiency. Also the shape of the shelter is designed to be aerodynamic to north wind.
This prefabricated wooden shelter as, is designed for maximum efficiency and total energy autonomy.
The construction is raised off the ground to ensure good insulation. It also has been used to create a storage space for the pastor.
The slabs, floor and roof are made of wood and have a 22 cm layer of recycled cotton for optimum thermal insulation.
The wooden walls are also insulated with recycled cotton 15 cm allowing the wood stove is enough to heat the shelter in less than half an hour to spend the night in winter at 2200m.
Because of the inaccessibility of the site, the truck and the crane were replaced by an helicopter. This forced the team NOEM to have a more accurate planning, to anticipate the needs of the assembly. The panels were designed to not exceed 800 kg (maximum load capacity of the helicopter). The assembly was done in 2 hours.
