维阿纳·马尔克斯的 Active Energy Building Vaduz

Architects became researchers. A building became a selfless energy supplier, with numerous technical innovations. The residential building is future-oriented for future energy systems.

Six years go by for planning and construction. It involved actors that you would not necessarily expect: in the center of Vaduz stands the Active Energy Building of Falkeis Architects. Together with a team of researchers, developers, locksmiths, machine builders, robotics and many more, an amazing residential building has been created. The building consists of twelve residential units and produces more renewable energy for heating and cooling than it consumes itself. At the same time, it supplies itself and forms a supply node for the neighboring buildings. On the one hand, the energy concept of the building is based on proven principles and systems, such as geothermal energy for the provision of heat energy and photovoltaic cells for electricity. On the other hand, some of the built-in technology components developed specifically for this building are prototypes whose application can serve as a template for future energy systems, such as those for climate regulation.
