The Bekvam Step Stool Ikea instructions manual? We professional assemblers do not need that.

Here we have the basic set of parts for the flat pack project. It is a really easy montage.

The tricky moment with putting together the stool is have these a bit loosened till you'r done with the whole montage, so you can screw those as tight as possible. Till then leave 2, 3 mm before you screw it flat zero.

Le'ts get those middle parts fitted.

Yup. These are wooden. Make sure you montage the plank the right way, since having these out is a mess and they could brake quite easily.

Time for frame #2.

Screw that one but not 100% tight.

All that is left is to put it on top and have the hole step stool assembled.

Get those screws zero flat. Flat packs are tricky. Don't leave anything loose.

A few days back we had a booking at east Croydon, building a couple of brand new Ikea furniture pieces. When we had the bunk bed and pax wardrobe done, there was this small bekvam step stool left and we decided to photograph a bit for our online reputation. (Bekvem isn't really THE flat pack that will boost my CV sky high though.. :D  and we really should have done the same with the PAX)

Even though it is among the most simple units IKEA has to offer, the bekvam step stool does have it's tricks. It consist of no more than a handful of pieces but if not built right you will be setting-up a trap. You would not want have it fall apart beneith you feet would you..

In order to achieve a fantastic furniture assembly you will first have to leave all screw a bit unscrewed, like no more than 2 mm, so you can tighten it up properly when you have it all together.
