The region where the hotel now stands was previously a land surrounded by the sea.  Undulated capes are the view from the Tsuki Shrine located south of the station with a midden nearby – the beginning was the walk though this town while pondering over the scenery which has been long seen.

A renewal of the wedding facility on the 16th year anniversary of the hotel.  One of the emphasis on the design is the sequence of the connected space from the elevator hall to the foyer, garden and chapel.  The chandelier welcomes the guests from the elevator taking them through the foyer and eventually into a residence-like pleasant space.  Tables and bench sofas are assembled to further enhance comfort and to allow for guests to mingle.  Once step foot into the garden, a trail with four season trees and olive trees will lead the guest to the chapel which has been abstractly designed to reflect the scene which naturally changes moment by moment.  Walls of stacked timber envelopes the space in waves, the “Rainbow Column” flows it transparent tinted color in front whilst numerous lights twinkle above.   The journey will touch the guests’ heart – and memory is eternally created with touched moments.  The chapel offers eternity by capturing the moment of the beauty of nature and this special time will be forever shared with the bride & groom, families, friends and visitors.

The design has been carefully considered with the bridal staffs and craftsmen.  Each of the trees were carefully handpicked from the forest to create mock ups in actual size for all of the stacked timber wall, rainbow column and benches whilst confirming the combination of all materials and its texture.  This is a project filled with energy and passion, taking its time as if creating a piece of craftwork.  I believe that this is one of the most precious craftwork filled with soul made in the last years.
