Concept for the bridge design is the appearance of the sturgeon in combination with the importance of this fish in the heritage of Azerbaijan.

As the sturgeon already exists for hundreds  of million years the bridge will be iconic and remind the people of Azerbaijan of the uniqueness of their history.
