GZ OfficeXperience has achieved the office design for the daycare service, Stichting Kinderopvang Purmerend, located in Purmerend, Netherlands.

Stichting Kinderopvang Purmerend has been offering professional day-care for more than 40 years already. Together with OPSPOOR, who are responsible for education in the Purmerend-region they have made the choice to move in together. Two separate organizations with one common target-audience; the children of Purmerend.

For the interior design it was a challenge to make it so that the collaboration between the two organizations would go as natural as possible. It had to be an office space that ushers the employees to work together, without it being too much of an open-plan.

The flooring in the walkways is separated from the office-spaces by both material and color. In a semi-open plan this creates certain boundaries without closing off areas. The same goes for the different tones in the carpet. They are purposely made in a way that they transcend the “boundaries” of departments, to add a feeling of symbiosis. Especially important when two different companies have to work together.
