INNOCAD architecture has completed the design of the Abdul Latif Jameel Investment offices located in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Inspired by the client’s office culture, the interior architecture and space planning for this international company’s corporate office uses a concept for an individually friendly working environment that is transparent and open to exchange. Aiming to communicate company values as well as create functional and atmospheric qualities, the design concept has three main components: the welcome area, the village, and the open workspace. The welcome section features a customized display with corporate graphics relating to the history of the company, and offers a reception area, waiting lounge, showcase, and customer meeting room to create pleasant, informative and engaging surroundings. The centrally placed village translates its contextual approach into a functional layout, acting as an information crossroads and communication area. A variety of single, colored glass cubes create a village-like structure with alleys and squares that enable and enhance people’s interaction while simultaneously providing space for privacy and focus. Its structure hosts meeting rooms, prayer rooms, a cafeteria, playground, open meeting space and other service facilities embraced by open workspace lines, located on both sides of the windows. Offering an outdoor view for all employees, the working areas are asserted with private enclaves, which organizes the open space and offers versatile functions for phone booths, media kiosks, and creative or informal meetings.
